One of the Frequently Asked Questions we get at OpConnect is how to add a payment card to your OpConnect account, as well as how to add a balance to your account.

If you are new to OpConnect, you can create an account via our website. Once you have created an account, you can login into your account, where you can access a lot of information from requesting an OpConnect card, to checking your EV charging history to reserving a charging spot on our network.

This tutorial is how to add a payment card to your account.

First, go to our website, www.opconnect.com.

Next, click on the sign in link in the upper right hand corner

Enter your login info

Click on the account profile tab

In the middle bottom box, you will see payment cards.

Click on Add Card.

We accept all major credit and bank debit cards except for American Express.

Enter your card info and address and then click submit.

If the card is current, this line will be green. If the card has expired, this line will turn red.

And that is how you add a payment card to your account.

The next step is to add a prepaid balance to your account. Here is the tutorial for how to do that. 

Log into your account, and at the bottom right box, you will see billing.

To use your OpConnect account to authorize a charge, you need to have a balance on your account. This is like having a prepaid account.

If you already have a balance, you will see it here. To add more money to your account, you need to click on the add link

Enter an amount you want to add to your account.

Select the payment card you want to use, either one you already have on file or a new one.

If it is a new card, you will need to enter the account info and your address.

If it is a card you already have on file, you just need to enter the amount you want to add and the CVC number and then click submit.

And that is how you add a payment card, as well as add a balance to your account.
